    A four column hydraulic press has a hydraulic cylinder that is attached to the top plate or slide. The four columns are positioned at the corners of the slide plate and they run through heavy duty collars. The four columns ensure a constant parallel position of the slide plate in respect to the bolster plate. This is the case even when working pressure is exerted onto the slide plate.
